At Liberty Dance NZ we teach the NZAMD American Jazz syllabus and work towards annual exams
Rosette Pre-Grades
Pre-Grades 1 to 3
Age 4 +
Designed to introduce children to dance in a fun and imaginative way. The music and movement encourages young dancers to use their imagination whilst at the same time helping to develop rhythm, co-ordination, and an enjoyment of dance
Jazz Grades
Grades 1 to Advanced
Age 8 +
The NZAMD American Jazz is an exciting syllabus designed with comprehensive warm ups, stretches, floor work, progressions from corners with turns, kicks and jumps and fun combinations.
From grade 4 upwards, students will learn routines in Musical Theatre, Lyrical and Jazz Funk.
Stretch, Leap & Spin
Designed to develop flexibility (stretch), introduce the student to big jumps and leaps (leap), and improve turning technique (spin) through a fun and energized syllabus. This is an excellent addition to a students’ class content.
NZAMD Exams
Rosette Presentation classes - Pre Grades 1 & 2 presentation classes have a Teacher/Demonstrator participating with the students , either dancing or giving helpful guidance whilst building a confident and independent dancer.
Graded exams
Medal Award Dance badges - students perform a dance in front of a friendly audience of parents, in a fun and non-judgmental atmosphere, to help the students develop confidence.
